HOLY WEEK
From early times Christians have observed the week before
Easter as a time of special devotion.
The Holy Week starts with Palm Sunday, which is Jesus’ triumphal
entry into Jerusalem and Jesus’ Passion on the cross are recalled. Palm
Sunday is when the people processed down from Mount of Olives into
Jerusalem. The people waved branches of palms as they walked to
Jerusalem and sang Psalms, one which included “Blessed is he who
comes in the name of the Lord!”
